* | Butter for greasing molds |
* | 3 eggs |
* | 1/4 cup superfine sugar |
* | 1/2 tsp. water |
* | 4 tbls. butter, softened |
* | 1/2 cup flour |
* | Confectioner's sugar for dusting |
1 | Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter madeleine molds. |
2 | Combine eggs and sugar and beat until the mixture is a pale color. Stir in water and butter. Sift in flour and fold gently to mix. |
3 | Divide the batter among the molds, filling them ¾ full. Bake 15 minutes or until madeleines have risen and are lightly browned. Turn out and cool on a rack. Dust liberally with Confectioner's sugar. |
