* | Shortening for greasing the pan |
* | 2 cups flour |
* | 1 1/2 cups sugar |
* | 4 teaspoons baking powder |
* | 1 teaspoon salt |
* | 1 cup buttermilk |
* | 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
* | 2 sticks (1 cup) butter, melted |
* | 2 cups pecans |
* | 1 jar Stonewall Kitchen Maple Pumpkin Butter |
* | Whipped cream, for serving |
1 | Preheat oven to 325F degrees. Grease a 9" x 13" baking pan with shortening. |
2 | Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, buttermilk, vanilla, melted butter and pecans together and mix well. Batter will be firm. Spread in prepared pan. |
3 | Pour Maple Pumpkin Butter over batter. |
4 | Bake until bubbles have risen to the top and bars feel firm to the touch, about 45 minutes. Transfer to a rack to cool. |
5 | Cut into squares to serve. Top with whipped cream. |
