Warm Pecan Pumpkin Bars
Makes 12-16 Servings
Ingredients
*Shortening for greasing the pan
*2 cups flour
*1 1/2 cups sugar
*4 teaspoons baking powder
*1 teaspoon salt
*1 cup buttermilk
*1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
*2 sticks (1 cup) butter, melted
*2 cups pecans
*1 jar Stonewall Kitchen Maple Pumpkin Butter
*Whipped cream, for serving
Instructions
1Preheat oven to 325F degrees. Grease a 9" x 13" baking pan with shortening.
2Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, buttermilk, vanilla, melted butter and pecans together and mix well. Batter will be firm. Spread in prepared pan.
3Pour Maple Pumpkin Butter over batter.
4Bake until bubbles have risen to the top and bars feel firm to the touch, about 45 minutes. Transfer to a rack to cool.
5Cut into squares to serve. Top with whipped cream.
